Sentante – Teleoperated Surgical Robot for Endovascular Interventions

Card79

Honorable Mention

Card79 worked with Sentante for its first fully robotic teleoperated system designed for endovascular interventions. It enables remote manipulation of catheters and guidewires with precise feedback, allowing rapid, safe management of stroke, heart attack, and bleeding, reducing response times significantly. Endovascular interventions, the standard for treating heart attacks and strokes, have remained largely unchanged for decades. Traditionally, these procedures require the surgeon’s physical presence, limiting access in remote areas. Sentante eliminates this barrier by allowing surgeons to operate from another room or hospital, significantly reducing delays caused by patient transfers or specialist shortages. It improves the entire care cycle by streamlining workflows, protecting physicians from radiation exposure, and reducing the need for long-distance patient transfers, all while expanding access to care where it’s needed most.
