Alaska Airlines partnered with us to design a 11,000+ sq. ft. lounge in San Francisco International Airport’s Harvey Milk Terminal 1 that reflects their brand and the Bay Area’s spirit of innovation. Organized into distinct zones—“Take a Breath,” “Help Yourself,” and “Cut Loose”—the lounge offers a seamless guest journey rooted in comfort and hospitality. Design solutions transformed a linear footprint into dynamic, connected spaces using sweeping curves, varied ceilings, and custom furniture. A 40-foot metal acoustic wall inspired by the Golden Gate Bridge enhances both sound control and sense of place. Materiality reinforces the lounge’s refined industrial language, with details like brass accents, a Fireclay tile mural, and high-touch lighting. Designed to LEED Gold standards, the space integrates sustainable practices and inclusive seating for travelers’ diverse needs. The result sets a new benchmark for domestic lounges—elevating both guest experience and brand identity.
