Using a combination of immersive technologies, parametric design, and cutting-edge design principles Digital Ambiance is pushing the boundaries of what it means to create architectural lighting and new media installations.

Paul Chavez is an Associate at the international engineering firm Arup, where he specializes in Experience and Interaction Design. With over 30 years of experience in sensory technology design for the built environment he has designed for a wide variety of applications. He has served as the technical director for Luminex, a bi-annual community video art event in downtown Los Angeles. Additionally, his writings on occupant engagement in smart buildings to enhance performance have been featured on ArchDaily. As an educator, Paul is a lecturer in the Design program at California State University, Long Beach, where he teaches in the graduate program for Human Experience Design & Interaction (HXDI). He has also shared his expertise as a guest lecturer at prestigious institutions like USC and SciArc.
