He has a B.F.A. in Fine Arts from Los Andes University in Bogota\, Colombia. He moved to San Francisco in 1999\, where he pursued an M.F.A. in photography at the Academy of Art University and graduated top of his class. During the past 20 years\, Nicolas has worked in different aspects of image production for companies such as AirBnB\, Ubisoft\, 500PX\, XYZ and Gap and publications such SFMag\, 180 Mag\, SOMA\, 7×7 and the Financial Times. He has also exhibited his artwork in galleries in the U.S. and abroad. Nicolas’ interest in digital image creation brought him to teach Photoshop I at UC Berkeley Extension. He is committed to creating a friendly\, stimulating and unstressed educational environment\, understanding the unique needs of every student to help them reach their full potential.
